Beautiful, sunny wheather. Long weekend with my wife, my eldest daughter and my wife’s parents in the south-west of the Netherlands, the province of Zeeland, at the peninsula of Schouwen Duiveland.

Beautiful sundown, no wind. All kinds of wetlandbirds, gathering in the shallow water. On the opposite riverside traffic sounds.
Typical wetland birdsounds of the Netherlands. In this case the birds are gathering one evening in a large number in springtime, you can hear a lot of the same birds.
It’s sad to know that some species are decreasing in number. So what you hear is rather unusual these days.
Philips Voicetracer 7890.

Water dripping, recorded in 2 microphone and preamp configurations:

MS30/40 → FR2LE
MS30/40 → MixPre → FR2LE

Conclusion:
FR2LE has very quiet preamps. It behaves the best when input gain is at about 75-80%. A little noisy at the top of its range. But just a little.

None of these recordings were normalized.

Flying and dancing in the soft wind on a warm, sunny spring morning, early May 2009. In a distance of about 500 meters you can hear the blades of a giant wind generator at a farm. A skylark is singing while hanging in the air to get higher and higher in a show flight.
